Why we need a pandemic treaty now

With just one week of formal negotiations left, the world may be nearing its last chance to secure a global pandemic treaty that strengthens preparedness and response. Despite legal assurances that national sovereignty will be respected, negotiations remain stalled over key issues like equitable access to vaccines, data sharing, and commitments to One Health. Finalizing the treaty now would be a powerful affirmation of global solidarity and multilateralism.
