Global Health Equity Considerations of Political Decisions: Trump, The US, and Immunization
The paper examines how political choices on global health funding affect the four key dimensions of vaccination and immunization in LMICs: access, affordability, availability, and acceptability. It shows how reductions in investment and shifting priorities risk undermining vaccination programs and essential health services. By analyzing these dynamics, the paper highlights the growing threats to health equity and underscores the need for stronger international cooperation, sustained financing, and policy measures that can protect and expand equitable access to care in the face of political change.
